Our building floats the world is round we go below fish think birds on a wire in another city how leaves turning up come in as we wait no one but a horse under the moon a story behind a window not quickness one after another our hair in clouds |
KRISTIN CAPP BIO
Kristin Capp has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions around the world. Her award winning monograph, Hutterite: A World of Grace (Edition Stemmle,1998) was the study of a religious community living in the surrounding region of Soap Lake, Washington, and in the Western provinces of Canada. Her second monograph, Americana (Edition Stemmle, 2000), included work made throughout the United States over a period of 6-7 years. Her work can be found in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, The International Center for Photography, NY; the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie, Paris, and the Kunsthaus, Zurich among others. Capp is a recipient of the Aaron Siskind Foundation Award in Photography, the Olympus Europa Foundation Award in Photography, GmbH, and was a Fellow at the Sacatar Foundation Residency in Brazil in 2004. Keeping the Embers Alive: Musicians of Zimbabwe, marks her third publication, a collaborative work done in Zimbabwe with Myrna Capp. Kristin Capp lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
JENNIFER BURCH BIO
Jennifer Burch lives in Brooklyn, New York. Recent work can be found in Sal Mimeo, Verse, Free Verse, Pierogi Press, COMBO, and Green Integer's anthology, The Gertrude Stein Awards in Innovative Poetry in English. She has a BA in Fine Art from Amherst College and an MA in English from the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. Jennifer lives in Brooklyn, New York, where she writes, works in art publishing, and teaches yoga.
