Article is an online journal based in the San Francisco Bay Area which publishes three times a year. Article targets a general culture audience, a cross disciplinary readership (poets, musicians, filmmakers and academics interested in the visual arts) and artists and critics involved in the existing discourse who crave a lively read.

By focusing on the imaginative promise of contemporary practice, Article aims to provide the venue for heartfelt and engaging conversations about art.

Co-editors Kim Bennett and Daria Tavoularis met while students at the Cooper Union in 1998. We are part of a fractured community of artists who want to engage in a larger dialogue about the origins of our practice. We want to talk openly and assuredly about inspiration, imagination, magic, politics, ideologies, atrocities, spirituality and love. These are the elements that define what we make and how we see.
